Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy (CM Revanth Reddy) visited the forest deities on the second day of his Medaram tour this morning. Along with ministers, he inaugurated the newly modernized Sammakka-Saralamma Gaddelu premises, developed at a cost of approximately ₹101 crore, and unveiled a newly installed pylon. He offered the first “mokku” (ritual offering) at the deity’s gaddelu and, alongside his grandson, participated in a Tulabharam ceremony, presenting offerings equivalent to his weight. Accompanied by his family, the Chief Minister paid his respects to the deities and prayed for the well-being and happiness of all the people of the state.
As part of the offerings, the Chief Minister presented 68 kilograms of silver (equivalent to his body weight) to the forest deities. Addressing the gathering, he stated that the government has made all arrangements to conduct the Medaram Jatara in a manner comparable to the grandeur of the Kumbh Mela and completed development works that honor and reflect tribal culture. After concluding his Medaram visit, CM Revanth Reddy departed directly for Davos, Switzerland, to pursue investment mobilization initiatives.
