Fugitive diamond trader Nirav Modi has suffered a major setback as the London High Court dismissed his revision petition challenging his extradition to India. He is the prime accused in the multi-crore fraud case involving Punjab National Bank.
The court stated that there are no grounds to reopen the case, clearing the way for his extradition to India. Nirav Modi had fled to the United Kingdom in 2018 after the fraud came to light and authorities have since been pursuing legal action to bring him back.
