The central government is planning to end the budget session of the Indian Parliament ahead of the previously scheduled April 2 deadline. It is reported that the sessions are likely to end by 28th of this month. It seems that this decision has been taken in the backdrop of election campaigns in five states.
Meanwhile, the center is preparing plans to hold special Parliament sessions in May and introduce the Women's Reservation Bill and the Reorganization Bill. It hopes to reach a consensus on these bills by holding discussions with the opposition parties. However, the opposition is suggesting that these bills be brought after the elections.
