Reservation Announcement For Corporations And Municipalities !

Reservations for mayors and municipal chairpersons in Telangana have been officially finalized. Commissioner Sridevi announced the reservation details for municipal elections across the state. Reservations for 10 municipal corporations were declared, with Kothagudem allotted to ST General, Ramagundam to SC General, Mancherial and Karimnagar to BC General, and Mahabubnagar reserved for BC Women. Hyderabad GHMC, Khammam, Nizamabad, and Nalgonda mayor posts were reserved for General Women, while Greater Warangal was allotted to the General category.

In addition, reservations for chairperson posts in 121 municipalities were also finalized. These include 2 ST Women, 3 ST General, 8 SC Women, 9 SC General, 19 BC Women, 19 BC General, 31 General Women, and 30 General categories. Commissioner Sridevi stated that the finalized reservations for mayors, chairpersons, and ward-wise positions would be submitted to the State Election Commission on Saturday. She also confirmed that the government is fully prepared to conduct municipal elections.
