Record High Electricity Demand in the State

Telangana has recorded its highest-ever electricity demand of 18,139 megawatts on Tuesday, marking a new milestone in the state's history. This surge reflects increased consumption across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Officials confirmed that the power supply was maintained without major disruptions despite the sharp rise in demand.

The previous record stood at 17,162 megawatts, which has now been surpassed. Energy authorities stated that the state’s power infrastructure successfully handled the peak load, ensuring uninterrupted supply. The achievement highlights Telangana’s improved power management and growing energy requirements.
