Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kerala and Tamil Nadu on March 11 to launch several major development projects. In Ernakulam, he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stones for projects worth about ₹10,800 crore. These include the foundation stone for a polypropylene unit at the Kochi refinery of Bharat Petroleum Corporation and the inauguration of major highway expansions such as the six lane Thalapady, Chengala stretch and the Kozhikode bypass.
Later in Tiruchirappalli, the Prime Minister will launch and dedicate development projects worth around ₹5,650 crore. These projects cover sectors such as petroleum and gas infrastructure, highways, railways, and rural connectivity. He will also flag off several train services, including Amrit Bharat Express trains, and inaugurate rural roads built under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Officials said these initiatives will strengthen transport, improve connectivity, and support economic growth in the region.
