Police websites hack

For the past week, the official police websites of the Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates have not been functioning. Police officials suspect that malware might have infiltrated these sites. Users found that clicking on the websites was redirecting them to a gaming application.

Following the issue, the servers were taken offline and the National Informatics Centre (NIC), which manages the systems, was immediately informed. IT teams from both commissionerates are working to resolve the problem, while technical representatives under NIC’s supervision are engaged in restoring the websites.
