Police impose restrictions on New Year celebrations… permission is now mandatory!

Cyberabad Police have issued strict guidelines for New Year 2026 celebrations. Prior permission is now mandatory for all New Year events at pubs, hotels, resorts, community halls, and open venues.

Organisers must apply online at https://cybpms.telangana.gov.in by December 21. Cyberabad CP Srinivas Reddy stated that permissions will be granted only after thoroughly reviewing the event details, security arrangements, timings, and sound levels.

Events without permission will face strict action. Police have warned that all music and sound systems must be stopped after 1 AM, and special teams will be deployed to check drunk driving and unruly behaviour.
