A bizarre incident involving a Bluetooth device name caused panic on a United Airlines flight in the United States. A Boeing aircraft carrying 190 passengers and 12 crew members, flying from Newark (New Jersey) to Spain, was forced to turn back after a suspicious Bluetooth name reading “Bomb” appeared during the journey.
Crew members noticed the device and repeatedly instructed passengers to turn off their Bluetooth connections. However, the device name remained active for nearly two hours, raising security concerns. Following coordination with ground staff, the airline declared an emergency and diverted the flight back to Newark, where it landed safely. The incident, which occurred on Saturday, came to light through social media posts.
