

Responding to the wishes of the people of Andhra Pradesh and admirers of Gaddar, his daughter Vennela met Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and submitted a formal request seeking permission to install a statue of Gaddar in the state. The meeting was held in a respectful and cordial manner.
She also conveyed a request from Andhra University professors to name the Art and Cultural Department after Gaddar, highlighting his contribution to art, culture and people’s movements. Vennela explained that such a step would be a fitting tribute to his legacy.
In addition, she urged the government to provide employment opportunities to former Maoists who are joining mainstream society. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reportedly responded positively to all the requests presented during the meeting.
