In a major step toward seamless urban transport, residents of Hyderabad will soon be able to use multiple modes of travel with a single ticket. The Unified Metropolitan Development Authority (UMTA) is developing a Common Mobility App that integrates services such as TSRTC buses, metro rail, MMTS trains, and ride-hailing platforms like Ola and Uber. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has invited tenders to appoint a consultant for building this app. With this system, commuters can plan and pay for their entire journey—from origin to destination—using a single digital ticket.
The app will allow users to enter their travel route and receive detailed guidance on available transport options, including metro, MMTS, and buses, along with last-mile connectivity. Once the ticket is booked, a QR code will be generated, enabling travel across all integrated services without separate bookings. Even for final connectivity, users can access cab or auto services without booking separately, as aggregators will be pre-arranged at stations. Additionally, the app will integrate services from the existing Mee Ticket platform, allowing access to parks, temples, and tourist sites—making it a comprehensive digital mobility solution.
