Allu Arjun has carved a unique place among actors who took Telugu cinema to a global level. Starting as a child artist in Vijetha (1985), and later debuting as a lead actor with Gangotri (2003), he built his career beyond legacy, establishing himself as an Icon Star through his dance, style, and performances. In recent years, films like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Pushpa: The Rise, and Pushpa 2: The Rule collectively grossed over ₹2,300 crore worldwide. Notably, Pushpa 2 alone crossed ₹1,700 crore, creating a massive impact at the box office. He also made history by becoming one of the few Telugu actors to win the National Best Actor award.
Unlike many top stars who demand upfront fees, Allu Arjun follows a strategic revenue-sharing model. Instead of fixed remuneration, he reportedly takes around 30% of the film’s total earnings. This model significantly reduces the producer’s upfront financial burden and risk. If the film succeeds, his earnings soar; if not, the producer avoids heavy losses.
Based on estimates, he earned around ₹105 crore from Pushpa: The Rise and over ₹500 crore from Pushpa 2, making it one of the highest earnings by an actor in Indian cinema history. Currently, Allu Arjun is focusing on expanding into global markets. He is collaborating with director Atlee for the film Raka, produced on a massive ₹800 crore budget by Sun Pictures, with Deepika Padukone as the female lead. The combination is expected to set new box office records.
