Amid concerns over a possible petrol and diesel shortage in Telangana, Civil Supplies Commissioner Stephen Ravindra clarified that there is no shortage of fuel in the state. He stated that the government supplied 54% more fuel than usual on the previous day to meet the rising demand. A dedicated control room has been set up to continuously monitor the supply situation and ensure smooth distribution across regions.
He further noted that Hyderabad alone has 596 fuel outlets, ensuring adequate accessibility for consumers. On the LPG front, around 2.80 lakh cylinders were booked in a single day, reflecting increased demand. The commissioner emphasized that supply is exceeding demand, and the temporary issues are mainly due to panic-driven overbooking by the public.
