Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan emphasized the importance of water conservation, stating that “Water is life, and life is the foundation of water conservation.” He highlighted that only a small percentage of the Earth’s water is available for human use, and failing to conserve it would be a grave injustice to future generations. A workshop on rural drinking water supply systems and water resource sustainability was inaugurated by Pawan Kalyan at APSIRD Bhavan in Kurnool with a ceremonial lamp lighting.
Pawan Kalyan noted that wherever water is available, development prospers and living standards improve. Rivers like Godavari, Krishna, Penna, and Vamsadhara are the lifeline for the state’s progress. He stressed the need to conserve surface and groundwater, address water scarcity in rural areas, and involve the public in water conservation efforts. Accelerating these measures, he said, would ensure a sustainable future for coming generations.
