

Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has strongly criticized private schools, alleging that they are exploiting parents by increasing fees sharply. She stated that many institutions have raised fees by 30 to 40 percent at once, causing financial stress to families. Kavitha demanded that the government immediately bring a Fee Regulation Act and conduct a special Assembly session to pass the bill.
She further urged strict action on corporate schools like Narayana and Chaitanya, including inspections on food safety and employee PF issues. Kavitha also said that fee hikes should be capped at 8 percent annually. She warned that if the government fails to act, Telangana Jagruthi will launch protests. She highlighted that out of 62 lakh students in Telangana, a large number study in private and corporate schools.
