Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu strongly condemned the alleged attack attempt by YSRCP leaders on the ABN Andhra Jyothy office in Amaravati and Hyderabad. He described the incident as an attack on media freedom, stating that targeting media outlets for questioning the government is against democratic principles. He said that instead of responding to criticism, resorting to protests and attacks reflects intolerance. He also recalled that media organizations had faced several pressures during the previous regime but stood firm.
Naidu further stated that criticizing the media for questioning the Amaravati issue is unjustified. He alleged that leaders taking mobs to media offices reflects a “rowdy culture” within the YSRCP. Referring to Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, he accused the party of engaging in diversion politics instead of addressing key issues. The Chief Minister asserted that attempts to intimidate the media through threats and protests will not succeed.
