Key Changes in the Telangana Police Department

Following the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) reorganization, significant administrative changes have taken place in the Telangana Police Department. To ensure more effective policing in the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda commissionerates, the three commissionerates have been divided into a total of 12 zones. Six zones have been created within the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate, while the Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissionerates have been reorganized into three zones each. Officials stated that this decision was made keeping in mind the growing population, traffic, and the need for effective crime control. It is expected that these changes will lead to faster service delivery to the public and further strengthen law and order maintenance.
