Pakistan, Türkiye, and Egypt are acting as mediators in facilitating talks between the United States and Iran in an effort to de-escalate ongoing tensions in West Asia. As part of this initiative, it is reported that these countries have presented draft proposals to both Iran and the United States, which include a 45-day ceasefire along with plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
It is believed that this 45-day period would provide an opportunity to engage in negotiations aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire. The United States and Iran are expected to make a final decision on these proposals.
