Hyderabad Metro Rail has now come fully under the control of the Telangana government. After taking over 100 percent equity from L&T, the government has formed a new governing board with 10 members. Senior IAS officer K. Ramakrishna Rao has been appointed as the chairman of this board.
Important officials like DGP Shivadhar Reddy and Jayesh Ranjan have been included as members of the board. The government has planned to complete this major ₹15,000 crore deal by the 30th of this month. With this transition, the new board has started its operations from today and will now handle the full responsibility of metro management.
This change marks a major shift in Hyderabad Metro’s administration, bringing it completely under government control for better coordination and development.
