Fresh developments have surfaced in the high-profile drug case linked to Rohit Reddy’s farmhouse, with investigators confirming that the cocaine used was procured within Hyderabad and not brought from Shimla as initially claimed. Bengaluru-based lawyer Kaushik Ravi’s earlier statement has now been identified as fabricated. According to police sources, Rohit Reddy’s driver and personal assistant, Siliveri Sharath—who is also an accused—revealed that he collected the cocaine from a person named Abhishek Singh near the Outer Ring Road on Reddy’s instructions. This revelation has raised suspicions about Rohit Reddy’s possible connections with drug networks. Police have identified Abhishek Singh as a Hyderabad-based individual and are attempting to trace him through close associates, as he is currently absconding.
The Special Investigation Team, under the supervision of Chevella DCP Yogesh Gautam, intensified the probe by questioning multiple accused. Four key individuals, including Kaushik Ravi and businessman Arjun Reddy, were interrogated extensively for the second consecutive day at Shamshabad Police Station. Officials believe that false claims regarding drug procurement were made to shield Rohit Reddy’s involvement. Authorities have seized mobile phones and vehicles belonging to the accused and are analyzing digital data to uncover links with drug peddlers. Meanwhile, arguments on the custody petition of three accused were heard in court, with the prosecution emphasizing the need for further interrogation to determine the source of drugs and firing incident. The court has reserved its verdict until Friday.
