Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to immediately begin the construction of substations to meet rising electricity demand in the state. He emphasized the need for reliable power supply in view of upcoming industrial zones, high-speed rail corridors, and other major development projects.
As part of the green energy policy, he proposed setting up solar power plants near substations. A pilot project of 18 solar plants across districts has been planned. He also suggested using AI technology for better power management and called for clearing doubts among employees regarding the Rythu Discom initiative.
