Half-Day Schedule Begins in Anganwadi Centres in AP from Today

The government has decided to implement a half-day schedule in Anganwadi centres across Andhra Pradesh starting today, considering the rising summer heat and the safety of children. As per the new guidelines, the centres will function from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The move aims to protect young children from extreme temperatures while ensuring uninterrupted services.

Despite the revised timings, officials have been instructed to ensure that there is no disruption in the distribution of nutritional food to beneficiaries. The Take Home Ration (THR) system will continue to be implemented strictly. The half-day system will remain in place until further orders from the government.
