Laddu prasadam preparation has been temporarily halted at the renowned Arunachaleswarar Temple due to a shortage of cooking gas. The temple has been distributing free laddu prasadam to devotees for the past three years, along with preparing and selling other items such as murukku and athirasam. However, the ongoing conflict in West Asia has reportedly led to disruptions in gas supply, forcing temple authorities to suspend laddu production.
In response to continued demand from devotees, temple officials have proposed an alternative method of preparing laddus using traditional firewood stoves. They have sought approval from the state government to implement this arrangement. Once permission is granted, laddu preparation will resume using firewood-based cooking, ensuring uninterrupted prasadam distribution to devotees.
