Amid the success celebrations of ‘Dhurandhar 2’, lead actor Ranveer Singh is reportedly preparing to offer an unconditional apology. He is expected to file an affidavit in the Karnataka High Court expressing his regret in the matter. The controversy arose after Ranveer Singh was accused of mimicking the gestures of “Panjurli” from ‘Kantara’ on stage, which allegedly hurt religious sentiments. A lawyer, Prashanth, approached the Karnataka High Court, claiming that the act disrespected divine sentiments.
During the recent hearing of the case, the court granted interim relief to Ranveer Singh, directing that no coercive action be taken against him. However, it also instructed him to fully cooperate with the proceedings in the next hearing. Following this, Ranveer Singh’s legal team has stated that he is willing to personally appear and tender an apology. Reports also suggest that he may visit the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru to offer his apologies.
Meanwhile, the petitioner alleged that Ranveer Singh’s earlier apology on social media lacked sincerity. However, with the actor now willing to appear in person and apologize, the dispute is expected to be resolved. Notably, ‘Kantara’ star Rishab Shetty also praised Ranveer Singh’s performance in ‘Dhurandhar 2’ in a recent social media post.
