Paying rich tributes to the tribal deity Sant Sri Sevalal Maharaj on his birth anniversary, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the construction of a world-class spiritual and cultural center in the Nallamala forest area dedicated to the Banjara community.
During the official celebrations held at Banjara Bhavan, the Chief Minister highlighted that while Adivasis have sacred sites like the Nagoba Temple in Adilabad and Sammakka-Sarakka Jatara in Medaram, the Banjara community lacked a dedicated major pilgrimage center, a gap the government now intends to fill by developing 20 acres of land into a magnificent hub of tribal heritage and tourism. CM Revanth Reddy instructed officials to prepare a master plan to ensure the shrine reflects authentic Banjara traditions, aiming to host the next year's Sevalal Jayanti celebrations at this new venue.
Beyond spiritual development, the Chief Minister underscored his government's commitment to tribal welfare by mandating clear action plans to provide BT road connectivity, schools, and panchayat buildings to every thanda and tribal hamlet across the state. Emphasizing the role of the Lambada community in the formation and reconstruction of Telangana, he assured that basic amenities like drinking water and electricity would be prioritized, even in remote forest settlements, while honoring the peaceful teachings of Sant Sevalal Maharaj who serves as an inspiration to 15 crore tribals nationwide.
