The coalition government in Andhra Pradesh has issued new guidelines introducing significant changes to the land resurvey process. As per the new rules, land surveys must be conducted only in the presence of the landowner. If the owner is unavailable, the survey will be postponed, ensuring transparency and fairness in the process.
The government has also mandated that passbooks will be printed only after land records are verified and approved by the landowner. Revenue officials have been directed to distribute passbooks between the 2nd and 9th of every month. These reforms aim to reduce land disputes and strengthen trust in the land administration system.
