

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met P. Dorje Gyamba, Chairman of the Godavari River Management Board, at the CM Camp Office on Sunday. During the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed him on the state’s initiatives related to water conservation and efficient water management. He explained that real-time data on water resources in river basin areas is being recorded through the AWARE system. He also elaborated on the effective utilization of floodwaters and the plans formulated for river interlinking.
The discussion also covered the issue of the Peddavagu project located on the Telangana–Andhra Pradesh border in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. It was noted that during the previous season, the project bund was breached due to flooding, causing floods in both states and leading to difficulties for the public. In this context, the Chief Minister informed that Andhra Pradesh is ready to work in coordination with Telangana to strengthen the Peddavagu project bund.
