The Andhra Pradesh Assembly has introduced a digital attendance system starting today, marking a significant step toward technological modernization. Attendance of MLAs will now be recorded through facial recognition technology, ensuring accuracy and transparency in tracking members’ presence in the House.
According to officials, attendance will be marked only when members physically enter and sit inside the Assembly premises. The Speaker formally introduced the new system, while the Assembly Secretary informed MLAs that the traditional register-based attendance method will no longer be in use.
