Had everything gone smoothly, Team India star cricketer Smriti Mandhana would have tied the knot this week with filmmaker-composer Palash Muchhal. However, unforeseen circumstances interrupted what was supposed to be a grand celebration.
Smriti’s father fell seriously ill, and Palash also experienced health issues, leading to the ceremony being partially halted. In the aftermath, Smriti removed posts and videos related to her engagement and Palash’s proposal from her Instagram account. Palash reportedly deleted some posts as well.
Fans began speculating—was the wedding postponed or entirely called off? Adding fuel to the rumors, reports emerged claiming Palash cheated. A young woman shared screenshots of chats allegedly involving Palash on Instagram, leaving fans shocked.
Following this, Smriti reportedly removed several related posts and videos from her social media. There are even speculations that the situation may have contributed to her father’s health scare.
The leaked chats suggest that Palash felt lonely while Smriti was away on frequent tours. Previously, they used to travel together, but increased professional commitments have reportedly created distance. However, it remains unclear whether these chats were authentic or whether they directly caused the wedding to be postponed. Neither Smriti’s family nor Palash’s family have released any official statements. Palash’s mother did confirm that he was hospitalized in Mumbai due to health issues.
