

As Cyclone ‘Montha’ moves closer to the east coast, both South Central Railway (SCR) and Southern Railway (SR) have announced changes to multiple long-distance train schedules for October 28 to ensure passenger safety. According to railway officials, several major trains originating from Chennai and Bengaluru and bound for Howrah, Visakhapatnam, and Kharagpur have been rescheduled due to weather disruptions.

22870 – Chennai Central–Visakhapatnam Express → Now 23:50 hrs (was 10:00 hrs)
22604 – Villupuram–Kharagpur Express → Now 19:00 hrs (was 11:05 hrs)
12840 – Chennai Central–Howrah Mail → Now 22:40 hrs (was 19:00 hrs)
12664 – Tiruchchirappalli–Howrah Express → Now 17:50 hrs (was 13:35 hrs)
22501 – SMVT Bengaluru–New Tinsukia Express → Now 15:10 hrs (was 03:10 hrs)
12836 – SMVT Bengaluru–Hatia Express → Now 20:50 hrs (was 08:50 hrs)
12503 – SMVT Bengaluru–Agartala Express → Now 22:15 hrs (was 10:15 hrs)
