Is Annamalai Preparing a New Political Journey?

Speculation is intensifying in Tamil Nadu politics over former state BJP chief K. Annamalai, with reports suggesting he may be preparing to launch a new political party. Posters featuring Annamalai have surfaced in Coimbatore with the slogan “A fearless mind has no limits,” further fueling rumours of a political shift. Supporters under the banner Annamalai Anbu Kootam have also reportedly begun expanding membership and organisational activities.

Annamalai, once a prominent face of the BJP in Tamil Nadu, has recently maintained distance from party activities, skipping key meetings and political events. Amid growing speculation, a tweet by Congress MP Karti Chidambaram about the emergence of a new political party in Tamil Nadu has added fuel to the rumours. However, Annamalai has not issued any official response regarding his political future or the alleged plans to float a new party.
