Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has unveiled a ₹60,799-crore mega infrastructure plan aimed at overhauling the state’s road network — the largest road development initiative in Telangana’s history.
The ambitious programme is designed to transform Telangana into a key investment hub, attract multinational companies, and create large-scale employment opportunities, especially in rural and semi-urban regions.
A major highlight of the plan is the ₹10,400-crore project to expand the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway into an eight-lane expressway, which will greatly enhance connectivity between the two major cities and facilitate faster transportation of goods and passengers.
Another flagship project, the Regional Ring Road (RRR), will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹36,000 crore, marking a crucial milestone in Telangana’s efforts to strengthen its transport infrastructure and regional economic integration.
Officials said the plan underscores the state government’s focus on long-term infrastructure development, industrial growth, and balanced regional progress.
