Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has expressed serious concern over the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence, describing it as a “tsunami” that could disrupt the economy if not addressed properly. Speaking at the inauguration of AVN Lakefield Global School established by educator and MLC AVN Reddy in Ibrahimpatnam, the Chief Minister stressed the urgent need to explore alternative employment models. He warned that the loss of white-collar jobs due to AI could push the country towards economic instability and emphasized the importance of adapting to blue-collar job opportunities.
Highlighting the challenges in the education sector, he pointed out the declining quality of learning outcomes and called for immediate reforms. The government is introducing integrated residential schools across 100 constituencies and plans to implement a nursery-to-12th-grade system in select government schools from the next academic year. He also announced steps like rationalizing schools in Hyderabad, providing transport facilities, and ensuring nutritious meals for students. Emphasizing the need for quality education and sports development, he stated that these measures are crucial for building a strong future workforce capable of competing globally.
