YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has reiterated the party’s clear stand on the capital issue, criticizing Chandrababu Naidu over the Amaravati project. He alleged that the Amaravati model is being used as a means for continuous financial exploitation and questioned its practicality. Sajjala emphasized that the party is committed to an alternative development strategy that ensures balanced growth.
He proposed developing the Machilipatnam–Vijayawada–Guntur belt as a major growth corridor and mega city under a “Plan B” approach. According to him, this model would help establish a functional capital at a much lower cost while boosting regional development. He also stressed the need to take former Chief Minister Jagan’s vision and ideas to every village, highlighting the party’s focus on grassroots outreach.
