

The teaser of the mythological film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This big-budget film, made with around ₹3000 crore, is planned for a grand release during Diwali. The teaser, titled “Rama”, has now got the green signal, making way for its release on April 2.
According to reports, the teaser will have a runtime of 2 minutes and 38 seconds. It has been given a ‘U’ certificate, which means people of all age groups can watch it in theatres. This has increased excitement among fans who are eagerly waiting to see the visuals.
So far, the makers have only released a title video and a 3-minute clip called Ramayana: The Introduction. That clip showcased grand visuals and first looks of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana. Now, all eyes are on the upcoming teaser, which is expected to give a bigger glimpse into this epic film set for a worldwide release during Diwali 2026.
