An Iranian parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan, for high-level discussions involving multiple strategic issues. The delegation reportedly includes representatives from security, political, military, economic, and legal committees, aiming to engage in negotiations if certain preconditions set by Iran are accepted by the other side. The visit is seen as part of broader diplomatic efforts involving regional and international stakeholders.
Senior Iranian officials including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Central Bank Governor Abdul Naser Hemmati, and other key members are accompanying the delegation. Reports also suggest the presence of international officials and discussions linked to broader ceasefire and regional security arrangements. Iran has stated its position on ceasefire terms and emphasized that any future agreement must align with its conditions and regional interests, warning of consequences if tensions resume.
