Launching scathing criticism against the BRS, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued a challenge, asserting that he would ensure the party fails to secure even opposition status in the upcoming elections. He made these remarks during a massive public meeting held at Nasturpalli in Kataram Mandal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. Expressing confidence that the Congress government was formed with the blessings of the people, he affirmed that the public would continue to stand by them, impressed by the government's performance.
Revanth stated that farmer welfare remains the primary objective of his government. He highlighted that the promise of a ₹2 lakh farm loan waiver was implemented within just one year, with substantial funds deposited directly into the accounts of over 2.5 million farmers. He noted that crores of rupees are reaching farmers through the 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme, and proudly mentioned that the state has emerged as the leader in rice production nationwide. He further revealed that the government is continuing various welfare schemes, such as the distribution of fine-quality rice to the poor, free travel for women, and free electricity.
Sharply criticizing the previous administration, he alleged that they squandered public funds on mega-projects while failing to provide housing for the poor. He contrasted this with the current government's efforts, stating that they are actively constructing houses for hundreds of thousands of underprivileged citizens. He added that special initiatives are being undertaken for women's welfare, and the government is steering the state toward development across all sectors.
Responding to Jeevan Reddy's switch of political parties, he criticized the latter's political trajectory. He alleged that Jeevan Reddy had betrayed the trust of party cadres by defecting to a rival party. Revanth Reddy unequivocally declared that they would comprehensively defeat the BRS in the elections and continue to uphold people-centric governance.
