The Supreme Court has refused to grant regular bail to three accused in the Andhra Pradesh liquor case, delivering a setback to them. The apex court denied regular bail to Balaji Govindappa, Krishnamohan Reddy, and Dhanunjay Reddy, and advised them to approach the trial court for relief. The Chief Justice of India-led bench granted them four weeks to move the trial court.
Government counsel informed the court that all three accused are currently out on default bail. However, the Supreme Court made it clear that regular bail must be sought strictly in accordance with legal procedures and conditions. The court emphasized that due process of law must be followed in such cases.
