Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the state is witnessing rapid industrial growth under the National Democratic Alliance government and alleged that the YSR Congress Party is spreading misinformation claiming that investors are reluctant to invest in the state. Speaking in the Assembly in Amaravati, he said the previous government failed to conduct even a single DSC recruitment and did not fill a single constable post during its five-year tenure. In contrast, the coalition government has provided 6,28,327 jobs within just 20 months, he said, adding that the government remains committed to creating more than 20 lakh jobs in five years.
Naidu stated that the government has restored the state’s brand image that was damaged during the previous administration and positioned Andhra Pradesh as one of the most attractive investment destinations in the country. He highlighted that agreements worth ₹13.25 lakh crore were signed during the Visakhapatnam Global Investors Summit, which are expected to generate employment for about 16 lakh people. The Chief Minister also announced plans to establish 5-gigawatt data centers in Visakhapatnam, develop Amaravati as a Quantum and Knowledge City, and transform Rayalaseema into a hub for aerospace, defense, drones, and electronics industries.
