Amid rising tensions in West Asia, the Indian Embassy in Tehran on Monday issued an important advisory to Indian nationals residing in Iran. The embassy urged citizens not to move towards any land border to leave the country without prior coordination with the mission. The advisory was released through a statement posted on the social media platform X.
The embassy clarified that Indian citizens should travel towards borders only after receiving clear instructions from the embassy. It warned that if individuals leave Iranian territory without coordination and face difficulties entering a neighboring country, the embassy may not be able to provide assistance afterward. The mission also advised Indians to contact the official helpline numbers or email in case of any emergency or assistance.
