There is welcome news for unemployed youth in Telangana, as the long-awaited police recruitment process is set to begin soon. The state government is preparing to fill a large number of vacancies in the Police Department. Director General of Police Shivadhar Reddy confirmed that an official notification will be released shortly, including around 14,000 stipendary cadet constable posts, along with vacancies in other police services.
Speaking to journalists at the DGP office in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Shivadhar Reddy said the government has already prepared proposals for the recruitment drive and an official announcement is expected as a New Year gift to job seekers. He explained that with a growing number of retirements each year and limited recruitment in recent times, the workload on existing police personnel has increased. To reduce this burden and improve policing efficiency, the government has decided to fill vacant posts and will issue the notification soon.
