N. Chandrababu Naidu has taken major decisions under the government housing scheme, granting full rights to beneficiaries who received house site pattas before 2016. These beneficiaries will now be allowed to sell, register, or even transfer their properties through gift deeds. This move is expected to benefit nearly 75 lakh poor families across the state. The Chief Minister has also approved the proposal to remove 1.37 lakh acres of village service Inam lands from the prohibited 22A list, paving the way for their regularization and usage.
Additionally, the government plans to free another one lakh acres of Inam lands and grant ownership rights for 9.25 lakh acres of freehold lands where registrations were previously stalled. During a high-level review meeting with revenue officials, including Anagani Satya Prasad, key decisions were taken to digitize all land records and secure them using blockchain technology after e-KYC verification. Landowners will receive digital copies on their mobile phones and can lock records using Aadhaar-based authentication. The government aims to complete the re-survey and distribute 80 lakh pattadar passbooks by March next year, ensuring transparency and security in land ownership.
