Vaishnavi Chaitanya Gets Emotional Over Negativity After ‘Baby’

Young actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya, who shot to fame with the blockbuster ‘Baby’ and became an overnight sensation in Tollywood, recently appeared in theatres with ‘EPIC’. In a recent interview, she became emotional while recalling the bitter experiences she faced during the early stages of her career. She particularly opened up about the intense negativity she faced around the release of ‘Baby’ and revealed that the experience took a heavy emotional toll on her.

Vaishnavi clarified that her success did not come overnight with ‘Baby’. She said she worked hard for years, doing cover songs, short films and small character roles in several movies before making her mark. However, after the film’s release, some people allegedly used abusive language against her, and she was deeply hurt after seeing people hitting her posters with footwear outside theatres. She said she was caught between celebrating the film’s success and feeling hurt that her hard work had seemingly been rewarded with such humiliation. Over time, Vaishnavi said she stopped paying attention to the negativity and began focusing only on her work and the positive aspects of her career.
