Suriya’s Cop Role in Scene Set to Impress?

Kollywood star Suriya and ‘Aavesham’ fame director Jithu Madhavan are teaming up for the first time for ‘Scene’. The film marks Suriya’s 47th project. In the recently released title glimpse, Suriya was introduced as DSP Premraj, a police officer. However, the character appears to be far from a conventional cop role. His habits, manner of speaking and behaviour have been presented in a distinctive way. The glimpse particularly highlights Suriya’s unique walk with his hand placed on a constable’s shoulder, followed by a warning delivered by his character. His expressions and body language have further increased curiosity around the role. The glimpse also suggests that Jithu Madhavan has blended action and comedy in his trademark style.

Nazriya plays the female lead opposite Suriya, while Naslen, Anand Raj, Lal and Raj Priyan will be seen in key roles. Vineeth Augustine is handling the cinematography, while Sushin Shyam is composing the music. The film is being produced by Jyothika and Suriya under their 2Garam Studios and 2D Entertainment banners. The makers have announced a worldwide release on November 6, 2026, as a Diwali treat. A ‘50 Days to Go’ poster has also been released. Following ‘Karuppu’ and ‘Viswanath & Sons’, the film has generated considerable interest among Suriya’s fans. Seeing Suriya in Jithu Madhavan’s distinctive style is expected to offer a fresh experience.
