When it comes to film promotions, every filmmaker follows a pattern — some spend heavily, while others rely purely on timing and strategy. Director S.S. Rajamouli, known for his sharp instincts, seems to have mastered both.
Before Baahubali, Rajamouli maintained close ties with Telugu media. But post his pan-India success, he shifted gears to Bollywood and international outlets. His promotional style — showing the film quietly to select media houses and creating organic hype — has now become his signature move.
Currently, Rajamouli is working with Mahesh Babu on a much-anticipated global adventure film. The project has been in the making for a while, with fans constantly hunting for updates. Amid this long silence, speculation grew that Rajamouli would hold a press meet this November to reveal major details.
Adding to the buzz, last night saw a fun Twitter exchange between Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, and Priyanka Chopra — and fans couldn’t stop talking about it.
Mahesh Babu began the banter by reminding everyone, “November has already arrived.” Rajamouli replied, “Yes, time for reviews — how about your favorite Mahabharata movie?” to which Mahesh cheekily responded, “Then stand by your word, November’s here.”
Rajamouli continued, “We just got started… let’s reveal things slowly.” Mahesh joked, “How slow? Planning to start in 2030?” and added, “Our Desi Girl Priyanka usually reveals everything on Insta anyway.”
Priyanka soon joined in, tweeting, “Should I reveal the secrets we shared on set?” — quoting Mahesh’s famous line, Once I decide, I go all in. Rajamouli replied, “Why did you tell Priyanka? You spoiled the surprise!” and Mahesh ended it with, “Surprise? Even Priyanka’s part of it!”
The exchange ended there, but fans quickly guessed it was a well-planned promotional stunt. The tweets have since crossed millions of views — a perfect example of Rajamouli’s subtle yet powerful promotional strategy.
