Veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, at the age of 94, has created a buzz with his latest experimental film ‘Singeetam’, produced under Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinemas, which released on June 12. The film is gaining strong attention for its unique concept where actors perform and sing their own dialogues, creating a musical narrative unlike conventional cinema.
Speaking about his experience, Singeetam highlighted that every actor has a unique style and individuality, mentioning legends like Kamal Haasan, Dr. Rajkumar, and Balakrishna. He stated that a director’s role is to bring out the best in an actor’s natural talent rather than imposing a fixed style. The film features mostly new actors who sing and perform themselves, with music by Devi Sri Prasad adding strength to the experimental format.
