Keerthy Suresh Opens Up About Her Plans for Direction and Film Production

Actress Keerthy Suresh is currently promoting her upcoming project Akka, which is scheduled to premiere on Netflix this Friday. During an interview with Variety India, she revealed that she has been writing for the past couple of years and hopes her efforts will lead to something concrete in the near future. Although she did not disclose the genre of her stories, Keerthy said writing has always interested her. She also clarified that she does not want to announce plans to direct a film without having a clear project in hand.

“Nothing is coming soon, but good things may start. I don’t want to say that I am directing for the sake of it. But yes, I am writing. I have always been interested in writing. I don’t know if it will be for my own project,” Keerthy said. When asked whether she might enter film production like some of her peers, the actress said she may consider it at some point, but not right now. She added humorously that she would only take that step when she could afford the possibility of losing that amount of money.
