The long-running feud between Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut has once again grabbed attention, nearly a decade after it first began. The controversy resurfaced recently after the phrase "Sorry Hrithik" started trending on social media. Reacting to the online discussion, Hrithik urged people to rely on facts before forming opinions. Kangana has now responded to his remarks in her trademark style.
The renewed debate began after writer Freddy Birdy shared an Instagram post stating that "the world owes Hrithik Roshan an apology." Responding to the post, Hrithik said that disliking one person should not lead people to support their perceived opponent, adding that opinions should be based on facts rather than assumptions. Many social media users linked his comments to his long-standing dispute with Kangana, sparking fresh discussions online.
Kangana later addressed the issue through her Instagram Stories, posting an open message to Hrithik. She said she was happy that he was leading a peaceful life with actress Saba Azad but urged him not to make comments that could encourage online harassment against her. Kangana also asked him not to put his partner in an uncomfortable situation and expressed hope that he would avoid making unnecessary remarks in the future.
The dispute between the two actors dates back to 2016, when Kangana referred to Hrithik as her "silly ex" during an interview. The comment led to a highly publicized legal battle, with both actors exchanging legal notices and making allegations against each other. Although nearly ten years have passed since the controversy began, the issue continues to resurface on social media from time to time, keeping the debate alive among fans and netizens.
