Residents of Kaharka village in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district are living in fear after snakes were repeatedly spotted inside a house. The residence belongs to Kapil Tyagi, who has reportedly been dealing with the problem for the past eight years. However, the number of snakes has increased significantly over the last week. Forest department personnel stepped in and caught around 30 snakes in seven days before releasing them into a nearby forest. Officials identified all the captured snakes as cobras.
To find out why snakes were repeatedly entering the property, Kapil Tyagi decided to have the premises dug up. During the excavation, nearly 100 snake eggs were reportedly discovered, raising further concerns among the family members. Fearing the presence of more snakes, the family has been staying awake at night and remaining on high alert. District Forest Officer Vinod Kumar visited the house and advised the family to follow necessary safety precautions.
