Producer Rajesh Danda has issued a formal apology after facing criticism for his remarks during the success meet of his latest film K-Ramp. His comments, which were perceived as offensive toward a media outlet, drew strong objections from the South India Digital Publishers Association (SIDPA).
In a video released during today’s K-Ramp success meet, Rajesh Danda acknowledged that his words were inappropriate and expressed deep regret for the incident. He apologized to the media fraternity for using improper language and clarified that there was no intention to hurt or disrespect anyone.
Danda explained that he was overwhelmed by emotions at the time and spoke out of frustration. He added that he holds great respect for journalists and the media, recognizing their essential contribution to the growth of the film industry.
Industry members appreciated his decision to take responsibility and publicly apologize, viewing it as a mature move to restore healthy relations with the press. Although the controversy had already stirred discussions, Danda’s apology is being seen as a step toward reconciliation.
